In the middle of the night...

It was 1:30 in the morning when I hear:

"Jessica... Jessica.... did you fall asleep with gum in your mouth?"
"Ummm, I don't think so. Why?"
"Did one of the kids have any?"
"I don't know. Lloyd what it going on?"
"I have gum all over my legs and arms!"

I turned on the lights and sure enough, the poor kid had gum melted all in his leg hair and arm hair. Apparently some gum had gotten on our blanket, from the Halloween stash I am sure. Well as my little Lloyd was snuggled up for the night he shoved the blanket in between his legs like normal, and the gum had slowly but surely transfered from the blanket to his nice warm legs. I was trying so hard not to laugh hysterically as I was pulling out the gum with clumps of leg hair attached. It took ever fiber of my body to not say, "Hold on babe, I just have to grab the camera. These pictures would be great for the blog."

Journal keeping is the best and that is why I am so glad for blogging. Years from now you'll read that entry and laugh!!! Did he end up with patchy hairless spots on his legs or did he just shave?

Hey Jessie,
Did you know that peanut butter would have melted the gum and all he would have had to do is shower it off. Yes, it's true. Maybe you don't want to tell him that. I love you guys. --mom
